Hope and Expectation

It was some time ago, not very long, that I was believing God for finances to come into my life so I could afford some of the things I needed money for.  I began sowing seed whenever and wherever I felt lead to sow, I made sure that I withheld nothing from God and nothing from my future harvest.  I would spend my time praying whenever I was alone in my car, in the house, in the shower, wherever I was I would begin praying in the Spirit and believing God for the manifestation of His blessing in my life.  For the first few days the problem was constantly on my mind, I was continually thinking on the situation and what it was going to take to provide the answer for my prayers, not in doubt, but in faith.

After those first days I began thinking about other things instead of the answer to my prayers.  In fact, in was challenging to remember or even care that there was an answer from heaven I was waiting on.  When I first realized I had not been thinking about the issue I was a little worried, "What if I don't get it because I stopped worrying about it?"  So I immediately worried a little more than usual.  A few hours later I realized I hadn't been thinking about the issue again!  It was the next day that I wondered if this is what peace in the middle of situations was like.  Could it be that I didn't have to worry about the issue any longer?  I had made my needs known to God, I had sowed seed believing that harvest was coming to me and in abundance, I even declared the Word of God over my life and situation in faith.  Would worrying or stressing over the situation produce God's blessings any faster?

Matthew 6:27 says "And who of you by worrying and being anxious can add one unit of measure (cubit) to his stature or to the span of his life?" (AMP)

Worry and anxiety will not produce the results we are looking for in faith.  As a matter of fact, worry and anxiety are killers of faith.  They are blessing blockers that keep us from trusting in the supernatural power of our Heavenly Father and keep us in a earthly mentality that has no imagination or faith in the power of our Creator!  DO NOT LET YOURSELF GET IN THE WAY OF HIS BLESSINGS FOR YOUR LIFE!  It's easier than it seems.  All you have to do is read His word and do what it says!  Don't let your stinkin' thinkin' get in the way!

Psalm 39:7 says, "And now, Lord, what do I wait for and expect?  My hope and expectation are in You." (AMP)  Our hope should never be in the answer to our prayers.  In other words, if I am believing God for the money to pay my rent this month, my hope and expectation is not in the finances being released to my life, my hope and expectation are in HIM!  When I hope and expect the finances to come into my life in the set time I begin thinking and expecting God to release His blessings into my life in ways that I am limited to.  When I place my hope and expectation in Him I allow God to release His blessings into my life in countless and numerous ways and avenues.

Do not limit God's creative ability to bless you by assuming He will release His blessings into your life through specific and set ways and through specific sources.  Simply place your hope and expectation in Him and watch as He not only blesses you but He blesses you in ways you'd never have imagined!

When we look at the healing ministry of Jesus in the book of Matthew we see Jesus tell people to change their attitude in order to be healed.  Matthew 9:22 says, "But Jesus turned Him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole.  And the women was made whole from that hour." (KJV)  Kenneth Copeland says "Be of good comfort was part of her healing!"  The same is true for you and I when believing God for answers to our prayers and for His blessings to be released in our lives.

Walking around, fixating on the problem we have and worrying about how it will be solved will be a sure fire way to prevent our blessing from reaching us in time.

What are you believing God for in your life today?  Whatever you are believing for, bring it to Him in prayer, speak His words over the situation, and leave it alone.  Have faith and hope in Him and Him alone.  Be open to hear Him speak to you concerning the issue, but from that point on, stop worrying about it.
