Faith of a Woman

I am almost certain I have heard a similar sermon preached on what I am going to write below.  That's okay because The Holy Spirit releases His revelation and wisdom to us all in the perfect moments of our lives.  So, I don't feel guilty for possibly repeating something someone has said before.

Since I moved to Texas I have felt an activation of faith like I've only experienced at two other moments in my life.  It's truly wonderful when God chooses to take us to another level in our awareness of His glory and majesty.  When The Holy One brings us into a higher level of maturity and manifestation things in our lives will begin to simply fall off.  Issues, emotional or spiritual, that we've dealt with for years will begin to disappear.  This is what happens when we experience the beautiful and merciful presence of The Almighty.  That is part of what I have been experiencing lately, along with an understanding in the need to increase my belief in Him and to activate the faith which has sat dormant in my life for so long.

Just a few days ago I began thinking of faith and how to activate my faith to bring His blessings into my life.  To take the pretty little thoughts we all have about His glory and His blessings and begin placing them into action.  I remembered the woman with the issue of blood, the one who touched the hem of His garment.  It was wonderful because this morning when I opened my Bible I was in Luke chapter 8.  In verse 43 we begin to read about her interaction with Jesus.  The woman is suffering from a sickness which has plagued her for 12 years.  The Word says that she pushed her way through the crowd of people surrounding Jesus and simply touched the hem of His garment.  Instantly, the woman was healed!  But Jesus noticed something had left Him.  Jesus stops and asks, "Who touched me?"  The woman emerges from the crowd and admits to touching His garment and says that she was instantly healed the moment she did. The amplified Bible, in verse 48, says "Daughter, your faith (your confidence and trust in Me) has made you well! Go (enter) into peace (untroubled, undisturbed well-being).

It was this woman's faith in Jesus that made her whole.  She was down and out, fighting to reach her last possible source for healing.  Earlier in the story, the Word says that she'd spent all her money on physicians but nobody could make her well.  This woman, in her desperation, knew that simply one touch from Him could heal her body.  Her faith was so strong that Jesus took notice, He physically felt the healing power leave His body!  That's the kind of faith I want in my life.

I want a faith so strong, so determined, so adamant, so aggressive, that it will push and pull and fight its way into a position before The King of kings.  I want my faith to be so strong and unrelenting that God takes notice!

He has given us every tool we need to have this faith and to experience the physical manifestation of all His glorious gifts in our lives.  What's even more encouraging is that this faith and His blessings are only a mind-set away.  It begins with your mind, with believing and knowing that His blessings are for today and they are for you!  Believing that His Word says, "I will do exceedingly, abundantly, beyond ALL YOU COULD ASK OR THINK."

Walk strong in your faith in Him and His word.  Know that He is a God of compassion and kindness.  That He chooses to bless His children, you and I, and that the only thing standing in the way of His blessings for our lives is ourselves.  So get yourself out of the way today and begin believing and confessing His Words into your life for victory!
