You, oh Lord, have begun to redeem my soul.
From the pit of despair I cried out to Your Name and You heard me. You heard me through the screams of pain, through the sobs of torment, and through my brokenness and despair. In the deep and quiet nights I cried to You from the bottom of the canyon, I could not become lower than I was. I cried and I cried and You heard me. You spoke gentle and sweet, loving and peaceful into my heart. you reached into the depths of my soul and revealed the darkness I held within and forced it to go.
Pain, sadness, sorrow, despair, exhaustion, loneliness, worry, fear, doubt, and regret; These were my constant companions. Struggling to survive I begged for Your mercy and You supplied for my every need. You are a God of above and beyond.
Hidden beneath the rock, I whispered Your name. A great Light shining through the darkness, You arrived on the scene. Returning my joy, my peace, my love.
Don't let them return Lord. Chase them off for good, keep them from my home never to break in again.
Make wisdom my bodyguard. Make love my constant friend. Invite peace to enter my home. Let them never leave, let them reside with me forever.
Oh God, my God, You have have never forgotten me. You have never lost sight of my face. Oh God, my God, I will praise You for what You've done. I will build a lasting monument to honor Your goodness and Your grace.
