Finding your calling.
If I proclaim the Message, it's not to get something out of it for myself. I'm compelled to do it, and doomed if I don't! (1 Corinthians 9:16 MSG)
Paul said that he was doomed if he did not proclaim the message of Jesus Christ. Preaching Jesus was Paul's calling in life. What is your calling in life? You don't know? Ask God. Search out the answer. The Bible says those who seek Him will find Him. If you know what God has called you into it is your duty to follow that calling. The word does say, "many are called but few are chosen" . But before you are worried if you are chosen or not you must first ask God what His calling for your life is. Then seek out His plan to follow that calling.
I don't know about you, but I'm running hard for the finish line. I'm giving it everything I've got. No sloppy living for me! I'm staying alert and in top condition. I'm not going to get caught napping, telling everyone else all about it and then missing out myself. (1 Corinthians 9:26, 27 MSG)
If you are aware of the calling God has for your life and are not operating in that calling, your life is doomed. God has the best for your life. His direction for your life will not lead you down a dark path. He is the creator of the universe and knows the beginning and the end. He will always have the best plan for your life, the best intentions, the best direction, and the best destination.
If God has everything that is best for your life and He calls you into a specific area, that direction for your life will be the best thing for you.
Why do You operate outside of that calling so often?
I think we all could come to the understanding that what God has for our lives is best. We should ask Him more often what He would have us do with the life he gave us.
